The IWC provides assistance such as food, clothing, medicine, structural repairs to buildings, in children's institutions and old people homes.
 The Social Kitchen It started in 2002 on the initiative of the staff of BNP PARIBAS (Bulgaria) EAD in cooperation with Sofia Municipality.
The project consists in the daily provision of a lunch to elderly, poor citizens in different districts throughout Sofia every winter for 4 months (during the period 1st Dec-31st March). Eligible beneficiaries are elderly poor citizens above 70 years old, people with disabilities; and single parents.
Meal preparation and distribution is handled in cooperation with Sofia Municipality. The permanent control of the funds by BNP PARIBAS guarantees they are used exclusively to support the less fortunate. Due to the extremely efficient use of the funds, costs are kept at a minimum, e.g. 25 persons get warm food during the entire period of four months for just BGN 1,300.
The project started with 150 beneficiaries in 2002/2003. The 2007/2008 Social Kitchen provided meals for 1800 people at 12 distribution points in Sofia. A new distribution point was opened in Varna. The IWC has supported the Social Kitchen since its start.

 Hospice Milosardie
The Hospice Milosardie in Sofia is a charitable foundation founded by Mrs. Donka Paprikova. The Foundation offers comprehensive care to terminally ill people, especially elderly people without family to help them. The Hospice Milosardie runs a 12 bed in-house facility, and also assists elderly people in their homes. It runs a soup kitchen that provides meals throughout the year. The IWC supports the hospice by paying a portion of its operating expenses and electricity bills all year round.

 First City Hospital, Premature Infant Unit, Sofia
The Premature Infant Unit receives about 400 premature babies a year from all over Bulgaria, ? of whom are from single mothers. Thanks to the professionnal care of Dr Rankova and her committed team, the mortality rate is very low, less than 1%.
Thanks to a generous donation from Internationale Spedition Willi Betz, the IWC donated 2 new incubators, which brings the number of new incubators to 12. However another 8 incubators are needed to replace the 25 year old incubators that are still in use.

It is a French based NGO that runs comprehensive support programs in orphanages in Bulgaria, from renovation of living space according to EU standards, to vocational training of orphan youths and sports programs.
The IWC has contributed funds to replace the obsolete washing machines at the orphanage of Kalofer.
St. Sofia Orphanage
It is an orphanage that accommodates 60 infants and children from 0 to 4 years old. Many children have some form of disability or health problems and require medical treatment.
The IWC provides funds to cover the transportation cost of the children to medical centers, and also for medicine.

Svoge Invalids' Association -
This is an association that provides services to 680 invalids in their homes.
The IWC supports the association with donations of food, clothing and bedlinen on Invalids' Day.
